TLDW, in terms of end game:
1. Elemental Advantage is already heavily considered, unless the weapon unique effects are not strong enough for that weapon.
2. Elemental Resistance is never going to be a consideration, if avoiding all damage is possible in a fight.
3. Perks are only likely to be used if they increase damage or attack speed in the end game, with use of healing cells being limited to casual hunting such as escalations. Mobility cells would never be used unless stamina draining attacks started requiring stamina to perform.
4. Nerfing Discipline because iceborne is too strong, doesn't make sense at all. With introduction of parasitic, they could honestly completely remove iceborne from the game entirely. Nerfing discipline would also penalize a large amount of players not even using iceborne.
5. Nerfing lantern power is a change that the majority of the community that is constantly playing the game is a good idea, so they should do it rather soon.
Basically, the specific changes they were talking about implementing in the Reddit post, don't exactly touch upon the actual issues in the game.
