This song was originally written by Turlough O'Carolan.
He was A Irish, Blind Harp player & Composer.
The song is written about Eleanor Plunkett who was the last surviving member of her family.
When O'Carolan was composing the song Eleanor Plunkett his coachman interrupted him, remarking he had heard many of the words in other songs.
Carolan was more than irritated by the words and picked up his staff, threatening the coachman with it and replying
"Neither you nor any other person will ever hear more of it but what is already composed.
This is my own arrangement of the is beautiful piece of music.
