Dawn's growth in DP is something I really enjoyed watching when I first saw DP. When I first heard this song, it immediately reminded me of Dawn's depressed state when she didn't  pass the appeal round in two contests in a row. Since this song kinda touches on self confidence, I thought it would be a good fit!

Not only that, but this might be one of the most personal AMVs I have ever made. Earlier this month, I was told to look a certain way or follow certain gender norms because I am a girl. It was not easy to process this because hearing these types of comments made me feel like I wasn't allowed to be myself. I started to struggle with my self image and who I really am, and I started losing confidence in myself much like Dawn. When I heard this song, it made me feel represented, and regained my confidence, so I wanted to make this as soon as possible. 

Guys, please know there is so much more to you than your body or the way you look. Don't let anyone define who you are or what you're supposed to be. Remember that true beauty is from what's on the inside. I bet that you are beautiful/handsome and unique in your own way. 💖
