When last we left our adventurers, Vayu the Air Genasi Rogue, Ronzi the Halfling Artificer, Brytmora the Hill Dwarf Bloodhunter, and Snaps the Kenku Cleric, they were met with the sudden arrival of Momo, a two-foot-tall Minotaur wizard sent by Judas to help stabilize Hylan and establish a magical link between the town and Viaest. Momo led them through her newly-formed portal to her shop in Viaest, Momo’s Magically Monumental Mysteries, where she offered some magical goods for sale. The party explored her wares, including curious magical items such as obsidian stakes and recall potions. From there, the group returned to the Silver Lining, where they discovered Astrid cleaning in disguise as part of her new role as housekeeper. Aspen returned not long after with news, funds, and applications for potential guild staff, setting the stage for the Silver Lining to grow into a true adventurer’s guild.
Clide, a former pirate companion of Ronzi’s arrived at the guild with an offer for the party. With a cocky smile and a worn map in hand, he spoke of winning a magical chart in a card game and the legend of Skylar’s lost treasure hidden deep within the desert of Remotio. He urged Ronzi and the party to join him in preparing an expedition—one that would require wealth, manpower, and no small measure of courage to succeed.
The party then split their efforts during this downtime—Snaps and Ronzi spent time at the Blacksmith’s hall, studying languages and working to expand their skills. Brytmora focused on her craft, forging jewelry from their gathered materials, while Vayu delved deeper into research on Nubes and the history of the city, hoping to uncover more about their heritage and the greater threats at play.
