The first part of my new DBA 3.0 Battle Report for the late HYW Period using Perry plastic minis 28mm. The English deployed as usual in a defensive position while the French are trying to outflank them and destroy the hated longbows with a mass cavalry charge! But.. the French have an ace up their sleeves.. the deployment of their main guard is a bit.. innovative for the French army
In my view DBA 3.0 is, without doubt, an outstanding package with a significant increase in presentation and clarity. While the rules are still simple the package, especially with the diagrams and army lists, will assist existing and future gamers considerably
HOUSE RULES:
1. Crossbows cant move and shoot except on the first round of the shooting phase of the Battle
2. Longbows can move and Shoot even if the move more than 1 BW.
3. Extended the same rules of side edge support to Rear edge support as well
One MISTAKE I made is that I forgot that only specific Elements can perform more than 1 move.
Finally a visual observation. Next time I will consider 1 element not 3 individually base minis but 6 in two rows. I think they will look much better and this size conforms better with the recoil rules. For the mounted elements 3 bases work well
