DC Live! Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, Part 18
0It turns out the final dungeon in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is long. Like, really long. 30 floors long. Angela only manages to make it to the 7th floor with powerful enemies giving her grief the entire way. And yes, the game is straight up using bosses (and their sprites) from Final Fantasy I. One special roadblock turns out to be Tiamat who has a move that has the chance of a nasty counter whenever you use magic on her. So at that point, we just start talking about how Tiamat is depicted in other games, including Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. She eventually beats Tiamat and the other Final Fantasy I fiends, but calls it a night at the 7th floor after some grinding.
Turns out we're going to be here for a while.
