DCS SU-27 Deadstick Landing
Deadstick landing in DCS World with the SU-27. The video starts about halfway through my descent, I initially cut engines off to conserve fuel at 20km MSL directly over Nalchik. Made a somewhat non-standard glideslope intercept: I call this one an "over under". Dive from over the glideslope to ensure adequate speed to reach the runway, then level out and fly a low short final to bleed excess speed before touchdown. Touchdown was made at just under 310 KPH TAS with a sink-rate of 0.6 m/s. Maintained nose-high attitude for aerobraking effect, then spun the #1 engine back up for power to taxi to park.
