DDLC Mod - Drift Club - Part 1 (w/DisabledGaming)
12Yep, here's the start of yet another mod series. Disabled talked me into giving this one a shot after telling me a bit about it, and I can honestly say that this is not what I was expecting. My complete initial thoughts are in the description if you're interested in reading that.

I'd go as far as to say that this mod borders on having barely anything to do with DDLC, since this opening felt more like the start of an original anime that just happens to involve the characters from DDLC in some way. The story isn't really about the Dokis and MC, and it doesn't even take place in the world of the game, they finally managed to cross over into our world in this mod. Their plot is more about how they fit into this world after Monika used those devices after they crossed over to make the town they landed in not question their existence and cause the Dokis and MC to forget everything they know about the world of the game, including each other.
In fact, after the intro, we only really see Natsuki, and briefly we see Sayori. Yuri has been mentioned, but we've seen nothing of Monika yet, so we don't really know how she fits into this town yet, and the next perspective shift where we're picking up next time is with MC. It's a really neat idea, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes next time.
