Dead or Alive 6 - Versus (Mai Shiranui [P1] vs. Diego [CPU])
1Remember that time when Mai Shiranui from SNK's 'Fatal Fury' franchise made a guest appearance in not one, but two 'Dead or Alive' games? (And you thought 'Street Fighter 6' would be the first time that Mai would tussle with so-called "street fighters".) I mean, looking back now, it makes sense, since she practically inspired certain DOA character designs (most notably Kasumi, AKA the DOA franchise's poster character).
Naturally, one of the biggest draws for the DOA franchise in general is the wide variety of selectable costumes (especially for the ladies). So yeah, here's Mai looking like she's ready to join B. Jenet's Lillien Knights at a moment's notice. (It's either that, or she clearly has her eyes set on Goro Majima's pirate crew in that new 'Like a Dragon' spin-off involving some crazy pirate adventures in Hawaii, of all places.) Here, she faces off against one of only two newcomers for this particular game. (Granted, there's Tamaki, but she technically made her debut in one of those 'Dead or Alive Xtreme' spin-off titles, so she isn't completely new here. And no, Kula Diamond from the KOF franchise doesn't count.)
