Dead or Alive 6 - Versus (NiCO [P1] vs. Rig [CPU])
1It has come to my attention that 'Dead or Alive 6' is now half a decade old (not that anyone I know really cares in this day and age, but from what I've seen recently, I'm surprised that there are still people who play this game online on a seemingly regular basis).
Looking back now, this particular fighting game from 2019 isn't good. At all. That being said, however, I'd also argue that it isn't an unplayable piece of garbage. (So yeah, I guess this game can be comparable to the likes of 'Street Fighter x Tekken' and 'Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite' in that regard.) Now I won't go into any details regarding the numerous flaws that this game has (especially compared to other, more popular fighting games at the time of its release such as 'Street Fighter V' and 'Tekken 7'), but what I can say is this: 'Dead or Alive 6' walked so 'Tekken 8' could Mist Step its way into the pantheon of modern fighting games. (After all, the director/producer of this game would go on to work as one of the producers for that fighting game from 2024 featuring a certain family feud between certain spiky-haired dudes.)
So yeah, here's the other prominent newcomer for this game (who, if you ask me, is a way better character design than that dollar-store Travis Touchdown wannabe) going up against one of the newcomers from the previous mainline DOA entry. (Also, maybe it's just me, but I do find it interesting how the English VAs for NiCO and Rig in this game happen to voice A.K.I. and Ryu respectively in 'Street Fighter 6'. SF6 proxy battle much?)
