Now the “You’ve to have Mass Effect 3 save files” is common knowledge. However, the couple of guides Google tossed my way don’t really explain how to redeem the N7 Mass Effect armor in Dead Space 3 if you’ve uninstalled Mass Effect 3 already. Even if you’ve the files, the directory path might be confusing for some or downright misleading. Case in point: A how to get the N7 Mass Effect armor in Dead Space 3 Reddit thread I’ve seen supplies the wrong path.

NOTES:

1. For new Dead Space 3 players, know that even after you've unlocked the N7 Mass Effect 3 armor, you've to get to a suit kiosk first before you can change out of your default one and into the N7 armor. Without spoiling anything, suffice to say it doesn't happen in the first few minutes—or even levels—of the game; it happens later.

2. You need to have Mass Effect 3 save files. You can:

a.) Google for them (there are lots on the internet) BUT MAKE SURE TO SCAN THEM FOR VIRUSES.

For Windows 10 users, try this: If you've left your OS settings at its default, create this directory path and put the Mass Effect 3 save files in the "Save" folder:

C:\Users\Windows 10\Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect 3\save
