With Deadpool 3 on the horizon, we had to do a Deadpool 1 and 2 marathon! With that came the undeniable curiosity about how the VFX was done, so here we’re providing you with a thorough VFX breakdown of Deadpool 1 and 2. With incredible actors like Ryan Reynolds carrying the performance of Deadpool – also, who is excited for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine – these movies are headed for the realm of classic entertainment. Did you know that Brad Pitt was compensated a cup of coffee for his two-second cameo in Deadpool 2? Not only that, but it had to be hand delivered by Ryan Reynolds himself. We’re sure most people would take that form of payment any day. We also have to get into Wade’s hilarious toddler legs and other regenerating limbs. His hand was done by using a digital limb, but the toddler legs were actually Ryan Reynolds’ very own legs. He was dressed normally from the waist up, but from the waist down he wore a motion capture suit. Knowing that his legs were actually the driving force behind the movement of those toddler legs makes that scene even more hilarious. There’s also the insane car chase sequence in both movies. All of that was done with CGI except for the vehicle interiors. They were able to digitally create all of the other cars, some of the people, and even the environment surrounding them. We’ll be getting into all of this and more, so make sure to stick around until the end of the video so you’re prepped for the epic arrival of Deadpool 3.
