Well that just ended.

I enjoyed my time with Deathloop, but I ended up feeling underwhelmed. The shooting was fine, although the guns generally didn't feel all that satisfying to use. The level designs were interesting, but it didn't feel like there was much there.

The plot, well, it didn't really go anywhere. For the amount of answers we got it easily could have been a one-hour long game. The leads really hold your hand, and I didn't feel like I was actively figuring things out, just happening on the game telling me directly where to go. By the same token, I feel like it would have been too vague if those prompts weren't there.

The levels changing as the day progressed was neat, but the way time progression was handled wasn't all that enjoyable. It felt like a good amount of my time in the game was just crossing the map and back to get to the tunnels. That combined with the lack of a quicksave made much of the game feel disjointed and like busywork.

The visionary concept was neat, but many of them felt undercooked. Your relationships with them don't evolve throughout the game, and there's not really all that much you can do to alter their behavior, just the one thing to check off for the final loop.

The ending was fairly disappointing, as it really didn't shed any light on anything and was a fifteen or so second cutscene at the end. I looked up the other one, and it wasn't really any better.

All in all, probably the least I've enjoyed an Arkane game since Arx Fatalis.
