Me, Jason Doucette of Xona Games, playing my own game. I hope to show off some of the strategy involved in getting a high score. Note that I am using RB to slow the speed of the fighter for precise positioning. While at times I need arcade style reflexes, the majority of winning this game involves calculated strategies. You'll see I make a mistake at least once in leaving only 2 or 3 enemies left, which creates an practically impossible barrage in the later levels. The key is to avoid this. Since you don't have as much control over how bosses react -- they are tough fights no matter how you swing your stick at them -- you can still be smart about how you handle them. Look for openings and take them if you have one. The far edge of the screen is often a safe haven. Use the bumpers as a brake for fine tune movements.
My personal best, as you can see at the beginning and the end, is 15,813,891 points. I suspect I can get to 20,000,000. I'll try and get a video capture of a 15 million point run.
The reason the video is cut off the side is due to the my camera positioning; it's hard to get a centered view without capturing the stand holding up the camera, and also without it being entirely in my own view to be able to actually play the game.
