Def Jam Fight for NY 7th Story Mode Playthrough - Part 3 (HARD DIFFICULTY & 100% TROPHIES)
STREETFIGHTING + WRESTLING + SUBMISSION
I got a comment asking for tips on how to counter consistently because the counters won't just work on his part. The only tip that I can give are what buttons to press for parry which is D-Pad/Left Analog Stick + Block simultaneously when the enemy is about to land a throw on you and press the Punch/Kick button to counter front grapples, that's all I can share. If you already knew this, then you're good to go. The rest depend on the player when he/she timed the counter. Practise your timings and you should be fine. Of course, different strikes require different timings.
I have this thought that Neutral Parries have milliseconds of delay on it's counter animation or the timings to parry are stricter compared to Martial Arts parries because I think the game wants you to think that MA Style is the best style for defense...But I might be wrong though. If you are suffering that you can't counter jacksh*t for the first few matches in the story mode, increasing the Speed Stat probably would help a little. How to counter consistently? I don't know because even myself can't counter consistently. Perhaps memorising all the movesets will help you on this. I can't memorise all the movsets. So, I'll just block instead depending on the situation.
To be honest, you don't need to counter consistently like I do because my playstyle is the 'wrong way' to play this game. If you knew how to block and counter grapples, know how to be unpredictable and execute combos, it should suffice for you to survive in this game. Besides, a lot of comments that I have been received on all of my Def Jam gameplays don't like how I play the game this way, I'm not joking on this. They hate how I always play defense and not throwing a single punch, they hate how I dress up requested custom fighters in my Story Mode playthroughs, they hate how I ditched the first GF and picked Carmen Electra instead even though I simply follow the request, they don't like how I defeat Masa so bad and called me Anti-Asian even though I did it for the trophies in my 100% playthroughs, they don't like how I know to cheese the AIs' behaviors like NBA 2K, they hate that I picked OE over Ice-T, they called me a cheater that I don't take a single L in my Def Jam gameplays, they hate how I bodied Crack so easily without taking a single Pedigree, they called me rude and a waste of time because I don't want to do their boring and weird 15+ requests etc, they hate me for doing their requests wrongly even though I did for free etc.
So, yeah...I don't want you to follow my playstyle, for the sake of your own mental health sake. So, why do I kept playing the game this way even though I know they hate me on this? Because I like playing defense, I like the counter mechanic in this game, I like Alpha Maverick's gameplays and I took inspiration from his gameplays but somehow I never seen him got hates on his Def Jam gameplays but when I follow his styles, I got hates and trolls instead. I honestly don't understand this 'part' haha. I want my Def Jam to be as unique, innovative and creative as much as possible, FULL VARIETY OF MOVESETS FOR EACH AND EVERY MATCH and no spamming strikes like a scrub from start to finish completed in a 100% Playthrough on Hard Difficulty that nobody still doing this currently. I'm not a fan of watching other people's gameplays that are so obsessed trying to finish every match as fast as much possible, skipping cutscenes, intros and all that crap. I find 'em boring and not fun to watch. Thus, that's why I play the game this way but ironically I got hates from having fun playing the game this way.
I've been planning to retire from playing this game long time ago because I knew this game won't make my channel grow even though I love this game. But...I still posted Def Jam videos for you guys, I've missed a lot of games that I want to play on my channel Riders Republic, Dying Light 2, Flash Games, WWE HCTP and SVR series, Aggressive Inline, The Warriors, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2, NBA Street V3, NFL Street etc. You begged and pressed me to keep playing this game, requested boring requests but somehow I still doing gameplays for this game for you guys. I'm trying to keep this game alive but I got hates for doing this instead just because I play the game with my own playstyle. There are over hundreds of gameplays for Vendetta and FFNY and they all still can't satisfy my audience.
Anyway, enough rant. Nobody would even bother to read this long ass description anyway. There will be one guy who don't like reading my description anyway like that one guy in my requested match Warren G VS Doc.
Hope ya'll enjoy watchinh this gameplay.
