Yeah, I know I wasted missiles on the generators. AC7 has conditioned me to fire two missiles at all ground targets 😅 And I realize the track goes on longer past the Mission Update—that's not an in-game bug, that's my clever editing because 1) I didn't want to cut it off right at the end, but 2) I didn't want to re-record my gameplay because I thought it synced up pretty well with Omega 11 in the middle and Smirnova at the end. Please forgive me my movie magic 🙇♂️
This video helped me practice some new video editing techniques I haven't used before, which should prove to be very helpful in future videos, including Everything Wrong With!

I can definitively say, once and for all, that Keiki Kobayashi is a madman: the final minute of Megalith uses a section from the Requiem Mass following "Agnus Dei," called "Lux æterna," except the mad composer had the sopranos and tenors singing different parts of it at the same time, which I don't think he does anywhere else in the track. We don't give the vocalists who destroyed their voices in recording this track enough credit.
There have been videos with Megalith's lyrics before (including from @OtakuGamingSociety, @AceCombatFan, @TheZ3PH1R0TH, and @mobius0145) but there wasn't a fully accurate version, that went word by word as they're sung, with all of the lyrics including that finale of the track. Special thanks to @davidmeissner5724 (SaltyGamer777) for helping me figure out the exact timing of each word in that final minute!

The state of emulating Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies (Distant Thunder) on PCSX2 has not changed much since @TugaAvenger's video on the topic. Check further down for the settings I used and my PC specs for this video. What *has* changed is PCSX2's interface, which now allows for default settings in its database for hacks and cheats. Anyone who downloads PCSX2 1.7 or newer and immediately starts playing any of the three Ace Combat games on Vulkan should now have a smooth enough time without touching any of the hardware hacks. As of publishing, only one thing *needs* to be tinkered for AC04: Blending Mode needs to be set to the minimum level.
Showcased in this video are some of the remaining bugs: the inaccurate blending of the aircraft shadows (causing the cel-shaded appearance at some angles--Blending Mode being set to high values will cause the black plane issue), the lack of explosion effects, and the occasional loud sound effect. NOT showcased in this video are the other remaining bugs: Stonehenge firing causes some serious blurring problems, Stonehenge's fire effect itself is blocky, and the sun texture is still finnicky and requires Software Mode to be toggled on and back off.
