Deja Vu (NES) Featuring Sean R of Matchbox Twenty
13Sean R is not actually from Matchbox Twenty. He's from Connecticut. But hey, this is Deja Vu for the Nintendo Entertainment System, and it's another one of those Kemco games based on the old Macventure series (like Shadowgate and Uninvited). It's another favorite of mine for the NES.
Deja Vu is a point and click storybook adventure. It's a murder mystery thriller set in Chicago in 1941. You play as Ace Harding, a former boxer turned private eye, who has somehow lost his memory. Over the course of the game, Ace learns that he may have been involved in some sort of crime, but it's up to him to figure out the events of the previous few days, and clear his name with the law.
Sean R and I played through this game and beat it years ago, so we kiiiinda knew what we were doing, but we definitely got stuck at a few points. I think our commentary is generally funny here, so I hope you enjoy it. Thanks to Sean (and my Dad and some friends who showed up randomly) for the help! Hope to see you again soon, buddy.
I was recording this at my parents' house, so my setup was a little different. Sorry for the random buzzing sounds in the audio. I think that happened because I bumped my computer with my leg. Stupid legs! Who needs em?
At one point we took a "twenty minute break" that turned into more like a twenty hour break, so Sean had to come back the next day.
