Delete Credit Card from DoorDash
Removing a credit card from your DoorDash account is a straightforward process and can help you manage your payment options more securely, especially if a card has expired, been compromised, or is no longer in use. DoorDash allows users to add, remove, or update payment methods directly from the mobile app.
To begin, open the DoorDash app on your smartphone and log in to your account. Once you’re on the home screen, tap the 'Account' icon—often labeled as 'Me'—in the bottom right corner of the interface. This section contains all your personal settings and preferences related to the app.
Next, tap on the gear-shaped 'Settings' icon usually located in the top-right corner. Inside the Settings menu, look for the 'Payment' or 'Payment Methods' option. Tap it to see a list of all payment methods linked to your DoorDash account, including credit and debit cards.
To remove a credit card, locate the card you want to delete. Swipe left on the card, and a red 'Delete' or 'Remove' button should appear. Tap this to delete the card from your account. If you don't see the swipe option, tap on the card directly—some app versions may include a 'Remove' option inside the card details.
Note that you must have at least one active payment method on file. If the card you want to delete is currently the only one saved, you’ll need to add a new payment method first before removing the existing one.
Deleting unused cards not only declutters your payment list but also enhances account security, especially if you're no longer using a particular card or recently changed banks.
