How to Change Location on iPhone
1Changing your location or country on your iPhone is essential if you’ve moved to a new region or want to access region-specific content and apps in the App Store. This process adjusts your Apple ID settings so that you see apps, media, and services relevant to the country you select.
To begin, open the Settings app and tap on your name at the very top of the screen to access your Apple ID settings. From there, select 'Media & Purchases' and then choose the 'View Account' option. You may be prompted to authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password. Once inside your account settings, you’ll see a range of options including your current country or region.
Tap on 'Country/Region' to begin the change. Your iPhone will display a list of available countries or regions. Select the country you want to switch to. Be aware that changing your Apple ID region may require you to agree to the terms and conditions of the new country and enter a valid payment method and billing address associated with that country. Additionally, your remaining store credit must be used up, and any active subscriptions may need to be canceled or renewed in the new region.
This location change affects App Store content, Apple Music availability, pricing, and more. It's especially useful if you're trying to download an app that's only available in a specific region or want to view content libraries tailored to a different country.
Note that this method changes your Apple ID country, which is different from simply changing your GPS or location services settings for apps like Maps or Weather. For temporary GPS location changes, a third-party app or a jailbroken device may be required, which is not recommended for most users.
