This was the beta demo for Delta Force: Black Hawk Down back in the last quarter of 2002. Back then, Novalogic featured servers that had this map on rotation. After the game was released, the map remained under the names "City Madness", "Pigskin", "Mean Streets" and perhaps some others depending on the game type.

The old beta demo was different in many ways. My favorite part of the demo was you could jump as high as you can and land without dying. In the full release, if you fell 6 meters you'd die. This allowed people to jump from helicopters and onto rooftops of buildings that you can't access in the full version of this game, some of the rooftops are shown in this video.

This wasn't the only map used in the demo; other people hosted their own servers and built their own maps, many of which were very good and some could probably be downloaded at dfbarracks.com still. Unlike the current game, the demo had a night version of this map, which players have no normal access to it today.

I had the .exe file for this demo on my hard drive for several years now, but I bet it'd be very difficult, if not impossible to find the same .exe file on the Internet today. Players familiar with the full release of the game (released in March, 2003) will recognize many changes from the old demo. This video is a quick run through of some of those changes. I had to fast forward some clips to fit YouTube's 10 minute limit and the cuts and edits were done in about an hour so it's really rough.
