The core game play is co-operative turn based strategy where utilizing character abilities and found resources wisely to defeat creatures to reach the sinister boss monster is the sole objective. Released as an exclusively virtual reality (VR) game in May 2021 by Resolution Games it has grown into a multi-platform and device independent title that can be played both in VR and on a standard PC. Because of this the game features cross play compatibility with all versions regardless of device or platform.
The game's is mainly fantasy inspired but still unique in both it's design and mechanics. The game is played by selecting an Adventure module then choosing a Hero class, although while you are the player this character represents you in the world of Demeo. An Adventure module is a total of three maps with a specific tile set and boss monster that you will work with your fellow adventurers to defeat.
