"Departure" Final Fantasy XV [BLIND] Playthrough - Part 1
186Noctis bowed with an air of care free confidence before turning to leave the palace. His retinue stunned and at a loss on how to react to the Prince's rudeness to the King whilst in his presence all hurridely bowed before catching up to the young royal, who already had one foot out of the door.
"Was that really necessary?"
Noct heard the formal yet friendly voice behind him. He smiled and turned.
"You know it's bad luck to keep a bride wating on her wedding day Ignis!"
Ignis played a guardian / mentor role to Noct in the place of his Father when he wasn't present despite their close age. He constantly made an effort to avoid acknowledging or encouraging Noct's more child like mannerisms.
"Indeed. However you are the heir to the throne and it is imperative you at least try to act like you're royalty..."
"Boys will be boys..."
A deep and commanding voice came further from the back. Gladio, the Prince's shield wasn't as caught up in royal etiquette and DID encourage some of Noct's mannerisms, increasing Ignis' ever piling work load.
"Man! I also fainted when you walked out like that Noct! You've got some serious balls to do that!"
The admired tone came from Prompto, the clumsy comic relief of the group. He didn't excel in combat, diplomacy or leadership but he was loyal to a fault and brought a softness to the group's overall edges, making for a well rounded team.
It was Noct's wedding day. A political marriage to help better the relations between the two warring factions of Eos. The Empire and Lucis. The band were to see Noct safely to his wedding but this was the beginning of a story that would beat witness to a birth of a King and a war that would be told for generations to come...
