So a couple of months ago, a runner called Kami found a skip in Clayton's Ship. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdH_P0vZZe4

This is basically an optimal version of that skip. The goal is to aim for the left side of the grindrail. We pause the game, because it influences the position of the balance meter while the game is paused. We also hold left on the grindrail because if we hold right, we bail.

This optimal setup saves around 12 seconds compared to the intended route but it is very difficult, I don't really recommend this setupless version in an RTA setting. Setting up the grind is a lot easier, perfectly viable and it still saves close to 10 seconds compared to not doing the skip.
