Full Name: Martin Westphal

Name of mission: Ganymed 2

Description: A big level, with lots of monsters,
be carefull!

A hint: first keep left. And don't use all your
shield before coming to the red key.

This level was designed as a second of a series,
so that the player has already all necessary
weapons, but it is also playable from the start.

--- My opinion ---

This level is EXTREMELY HARD! I thought I'd never make it, then suddenly had this lucky run, I probably couldn't reproduce it again... It's also the longest level in Descent 1 so far. Most levels have one or two tough areas. This level have ONLY though areas. Dozens of mechs in every area, rocket mechs just behind the corner and so on. I needed to corner snipe a lot. The hardest part I think is getting the yellow key and the area with 3 trap doors behind the yellow door, and the area with the columns before the red key. But generally all areas are very hard where I have to do corner sniping for a long time. Eg. a cloaked rocket mech in the blue, 2 cloaked rocket mechs guarding the yellow key. All red mechs, etc... You also cannot rely on getting all the cloaking devices I got in this level (although there are several one that seems to always drop one, eg. the cloaked lifter near the red mech in green area, the cloaked driller near the beginning of the yellow, or the cloaked rocket mech near the hostage area).

There are more than 200 mechs in this level. So many that matcens refuse to trigger if they can be triggered at all and they are not just a decoration. I haven't checked it in the level editor.
