Descent! Using D1x-rebirth!
4I always loved Descent, but I only got the demo. Having bought the game..I lost interest (Quake, Duke 3D came around)
After that it was always a bitch to start up, and DosBox doesn't run it quite well (for me). The obvious answer was a modern port but I haven't found one until today. Descent is still awesome as ever with this port: http://www.dxx-rebirth.com/
It has support for both Descent 1 and 2, so go get it!
Descent is an awesome twist to the upcoming FPS wave after Doom. It played similar until you banked, rolled around in a full 360 degrees and the action was fast and furious. There were lots of secrets to find too.
