This week at the Desk of Ladyada we also are getting ever closer to releasing the PiCowbell adalogger board, and worked on the silkscreen and demo firmware. We also put together our I2S BFF prototype which allowed us to A) test a cute new BFF that could be very handy for audio projects and B) keep poking at our My Little Hacker series of toy-updates. Thankfully, JP's latest guide on transplanting the circuitry in a See-n-Say https://learn.adafruit.com/see-n-say-brain-transplant forged the path to let us verify the hardware we're planning to use, so we built a minimum-viable-player with QT Py ESP32-S2 https://www.adafruit.com/product/5325 and a TPS61023 https://www.adafruit.com/product/4654
The Great Search - Molex Picoblade

What is this, a sword for ants?!?! No! It's the Molex Picoblade, a common 1.25mm pitch connector used in electronics. We're choosing it on our I2S BFF board because we want a low-profile connector that's easy to plug and un-plug.
