0Despot’s Game is a solid blend of auto-battler, and dungeon crawler with FTL styled random events and Konfa Games’ humour. I do enjoy their humour and the constant stream of references to pop culture and media franchises.
While I don’t mind RNG heavy games (i.e. FTL, Slay the Spire), Despot’s Game, and the 2nd campaign in Despotism 3k were a bit much for me. I did eventually beat Despotism 3k, but I don’t know if I’ll finish Despot’s Game. A quick look online suggests I’ve already figured out the areas to focus my build, but getting lucky with mutations, rerolls, and events is a requirement.
