Hey guys!

So I have barely been playing Destiny at all the past few months. Yesterday, I decided I’d hop back on. And “do what” you ask??? How about solo Oryx attempts! I’ve soloed Vault of Glass and humiliated Crota in every way possible; and seeing that I haven’t done any challenges in a while, Oryx soloing seemed appropriate.

I am not even close to being one of the first few people to complete this; a handful have even done it on hardmode! I simply adapted strategies here and there from other videos and went for it!

Yesterday, I took a few hours to re-introduce myself to Destiny haha. I got 15 bombs twice last night. Today, I reached final stand FOUR TIMES within about a 6 hour period and failed to stun him at the end!!! I was attempting stuns from the side rock, where I’ve seen people like Clark, Textbook, and Gatsby stun. The VERY FIRST time I attempted to stun from the center…. BOOM! SUCCESS!

This run was actually pretty sloppy, but not necessarily on my part. Particularly, the first 4 phases were uncooperative; either the vessel would be on the wrong side, or the Ogres would not cooperate. Some plays had to be made in order to keep the run alive. The 5th phase was the only phase that went “as planned.” Also, both shades went pretty smooth and easy.

I’m glad I hopped back on Destiny, as this was actually a lot of fun and not frustrating at all. I forgot how much I love this game, and maybe there will be some more challenges in the near future :)
