Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed is a game developed by Black Forest Games and published by THQ Nordic.

I remember playing the destroy all humans series on the PS2 when it originally came out and really enjoying its wacky story and characters that play heavily on the tropes of old cheesy science fiction films like the Forbidden Planet and The Day The Earth Stood Still (the original), in fact some of these films like Plan 9 from outer space is heavily referenced in the first destroy all humans. This has always given the series a certain charm that combined with its at times adult humor always makes the games remind me of something like Futurama.

The second game improves and expands on almost every aspect of the first game. With a greater roster of weapons that allow for slightly more varied gameplay (some of my favorites being the Gastro Gun and Meteor Gun) which is much improved on the first games three weapons.

Although I feel like the biggest improvement was to the open world that remains constant rather than returning to the mothership after every mission. I think this helps make the game feel like more of a true sandbox experience like the Grand theft auto games that were releasing at the time.

I also think that more effort was made with the story as it contains a wide range of more memorable characters in comparison to the first game. Some of which follow you throughout your journey to different locations.

After playing and really enjoying the remake of the first Destroy all Humans I was really excited about the release of the second game which I hope that if the developers where as faithful to the first game as they are the second I'm sure will be just as enjoyable as the original with the quality of life additions and changes to the cutscenes they make.
