Deus Ex 1's (yes, the first Deus Ex) graphics can be improved by means of self-installing HD texture packs and mods that apply new and better textures to the game. Here's a guide (based on Znokiss and Kentie's forum and webpages) on where to find and what to mods to apply to the game.

"1. Install Deus Ex clean, run it once and then close it.
2. Download New Vision 1.5 (http://www.moddb.com/mods/new-vision/downloads/new-vision-15). Kentie's Tools is included with New Vision, when you're installing New Vision just check Kentie's Tools in the appropriate screen.
3. Download HDTP Release 1 (http://www.moddb.com/mods/project-hdtp/downloads/hdtp-release-1), install it, it will tell you that you must have run the game first, but you already did that in step 1.
4. Download HDTP Beta 3 (http://www.moddb.com/mods/project-hdtp/downloads/hdtp-beta-3). Its a zip file that you must extract in the new HDTP folder created wherever you installed the game.
