26Full game longplay of Deus Ex: The Fall, a 2013/2014 stealth action game from the Deus Ex series, it serves as a prequel/tie-in to Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The story here was not completed, and cuts off in the middle of things, due to very bad sales and rating. It was designed and released as a mobile game, first on iOS, then on Android and PC. This here is the Steam version of Deus Ex: The Fall, played at 3840x2160 resolution. Recorded at 4K60 H.265 NVENC via OBS.
I NEVER ASKED FOR THIS. Because really, who the fuck asked for a mobile Deus Ex, instead of a full fledged spin-off to the main series? Well anyway, it did come out, and turned out to be... mediocre, judging by the reviews. I had some fun with it, not gonna lie, it is a simplified gameplay and world compared to the main games, but it's servicable enough, it imitates Human Revolution pretty well when it comes to gameplay and locations. Not sure about the PC version, as it got REKT in the reviews, for technical and control issues, which... I haven't actually stumbled upon. Like, at all. Maybe some weird controls, but really, 4/10 kind of bad? Not even one crash I believe. Maybe it was patched during that 2014-2023 time period, because it is definitely not buggy right now. Idk, might be just my lack. Reviews said its a real disaster, the pc version.
The main protagonist is British-born Ben Saxon, an augmented mercenary and former member of the Tyrants, a group in the employ of private company Belltower and their Illuminati sponsors. Saxon looks after former federal agent Anna Kelso, who, together with Saxon, was one of the protagonists of the spin-off novel Deus Ex: Icarus Effect. They are supported by Janus, the unseen leader of the Juggernaut Collective hacktivist group; and Alex Vega, a Belltower pilot who later joins Janus for the events of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Characters from Human Revolution and the wider Deus Ex universe also feature, including Illuminati member Bob Page and news reader Eliza Cassan.
The Fall takes place during the six-month period when Human Revolution protagonist Adam Jensen is recovering from an attack on his employer Sarif Industries by the Tyrants, and acts as a sequel to the novel Deus Ex: Icarus Effect. The story of The Fall was designated as the first episode in a longer narrative. No further episodes have been released, leaving the story incomplete.
