Raise your hand if you ever wanted to create games for a gaming console. I know I had dreams of this when I saw the TurboGrafx-16 CD-ROM attachment and Sega CD released – I was easily confused over all the talk of “unlimited” storage compared to cartridges. Anyhow, Sony did something like this with their Net Yaroze version of the original PlayStation console. Then they did it again with the PlayStation 2 and released a version of Linux for it. While neither were very user-friendly affairs, it shows interest for fan creations on consoles. Thanks to Retro Game Designer, currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, you may be able to create your own games for a myriad of consoles platforms.
