Hi! I finally managed to answer your questions!
1) Do you already have a rough concept for the Necromancer tower set? We have already suspected in the community that mechanics such as lifesteal, summoning, reviving could be included.
The Necromancer pack is kind of art-dependent, since the Towers aren't drawn yet. I imagine a Zombie Tower, a Vampire Tower, a Skeleton Tower, a Ghost Tower, and so on. I imagine that many Necromancer's Pack Towers could utilize monsters, but I'm not exactly sure how that would work yet though.
2) I personally noticed with the Inferno Tower Set that the builds usually have to be played the same way in order for them to work. With the Royal Set it is much easier because a lot of things synergize. I also have the feeling that a lot of towers get a lot of life, but it's difficult to achieve the necessary attack strength.
Will there be more towers and major changes in the Inferno set or is that intentionally part of the difficulty in this set?
The Inferno Paсk is intended to be not so similar to the Royal Paсk, but of course it will be tweaked during the early access process. It's a new Pack that hasn't been fully tweaked yet, so hopefully in the long run it won't be inferior to the Royal Pack. Nevertheless, I think in general the Inferno Pack will be a bit harder to play (I would like it to be harder, but not weak).
3) Could the runs be seeded and would that be interesting for you?
So that you can always replay the same run with a seed code (without achievements or promotion, of course)
That would be nice, we'll add that if we get the chance.
4) Do you plan to add an even faster game mode than Acelerated as an option?
Maybe as a reward once you've beaten Ascension 20, I think that would be cool.
Yeah, I plan on adding more different options to speed up the game, and settings to make things a little smoother for experienced players.
5) Will there be Steam Workshop support at some point down the line? What is your opinion on modding your game? Would you like that or not?
Personally, I think that an active modding community is always good for the game.
It increases replayability enormously and games like Slay the Spire are the best examples of how much mods can enhance the game.
That would be awesome! But everything will depend on the technical possibility to do it.
6) I have a few ideas and would like to hear your thoughts on them.
How would it be if you could create custom runs individually?
You enable or disable any tower like you want for your custom set.
Same with the Relics pool and Acsension debuffs.
Maybe even really wild modifiers like "Act One only has umbrellas as normal enemies" or "Every 5 waves is a boss round with a random act boss"
I imagine it like an run editor.
Just a fun mode, I would have a lot of fun with it.
Haha, yeah, that would be fun. Maybe something like that could be done based on special modes. Or as a separate custom mode, but I don't know when we'll be able to do that.
7) Last, but not least, a very personal question from myself. When I first heard about the special mode Commoness, I immediately asked myself whether you were inspired by one of my videos for this game mode. 8 months ago or so I started thinking up challenges with the demo version and Only Common was one of them.
Of course it could just be a coincidence, the idea that you only have Common Tower isn't far-fetched. But I would think it would be really cool if a thumbnail of mine or something gave you the idea for Commoness haha
