Devil Engine on Steam Demo - Stage 1
0Devil Engine is one of the upcoming indie games that will be coming out later this year on Steam with console and arcade versions to follow next year. For the arcade version via Exa-Arcadia, it will have additional contents that remain exclusive to that version according to the game development rules although what the developers plan so far for Exa-Arcadia arcade versions is not alot. The arcade platform, Exa-Arcadia, will be coming to the arcades globally late this year and opens doors to old-school and new-school styles of indie games including the arcade re-release of Strania by G.Rev as well as the upcoming arcade version of Psyvariar Delta by City Connection which will be coming out next year or something.
Until then, the demo is available on Steam and I'm not a goodie enough to deserve a Top 10/20 spot in the Leaderboards although I'm already ranked between 20-30 as I keep getting hit in the second stage which I won't show here. Also, I don't think I can show anything about this as part of the Score Attack contest.
Strategy-wise, you are to use the Vulcan weapon all the way before the mid-boss of the stage and then you have to use the Laser weapon for mid-bosses and bosses. Between the mid-boss and the stage-end boss, you may have to use the Homing weapon for that. Unfortunately, I missed enough amount of enemies that I didn't get the opportunity to get the Laser weapon for this stage's mid-boss.
