Devolver Digital acquires new studios, valued at almost $1 Billion
Devolver Digital, the publisher behind Hotline Miami, and the upcoming Weird West, has acquired some new studios and become a publicly traded company.
They have acquired Dodge Roll, the studio behind Enter the Gungeon, Croteam, who made Serious Sam and The Talos Principle, as well as Nerial and FireFly Studios, who own the Stronghold series.
Devolver Digital explained in a blog post that they are not looking to stifle the creativity of the studios: “each [studio] maintain their full creative autonomy afforded to them throughout our relationship”
After arriving on the London Stock Exchange, Devolver Digital was valued at around $950 million (almost £700 million).
Devolver Digital trading on the LSE marks the largest US company (by market cap) to be on the London Stock Exchange.
