after the hell house explode, its HP threshold will become much more than before, one of the threshold will activate a buff that can greatly reduce our damage. Try to use seal evil before that. And the rest thresholds will triggers HP attacks from the enemy.
To cancel its force time effect, we need to use melee FR that give buffs to all of our allies (Zack's FR) or use FR that doesn't deal any BRV damage to the enemy (Aerith / Minwu / Penelo)
