In this video I demonstrate how you should kill the Skeleton King. This epic fight took almost eight minutes, and in the end I managed to beat him. Video includes tips, hints, strategies, advice and more on killing the Skeleton King.

The strategy used in this video is as follows:
1) Be constantly on the move, avoid direct confrontation with the Skeleton King and his summoned skeletons. You can circle around the area.
2) Let the Templar deal with the summons, occasionally helping him if you are free
3) Strike using ranged attacks (if available) and continue running, especially as the Skeleton King is preparing his melee attack. Or if a Melee Class, use Hit and Run tactics, striking and retreating in time to evade his whirlwind attack.
4) The summoned skeletons should provide for a lot of red health globes. Use only when needed. Don't go near the red globes until you are at least half down on health. Be aware of the locations of the current red globes for when you need it.

I slayed the Skeleton King as a Witch Doctor, but the strategy should be similar for other classes.
