Diablo 3 Launch Day livestream!
I picked up Diablo 3 today on the Xbox 360 and decided to do a livestream of it. I used my tried and trused Wizard class which I have used on the PC.
To be clear I never completed the PC version but I did dump ~30 hours into it. In all of those 30 hours I did not die ONCE. That was due to normal mode combined with the Auction House. I decided to not go through that again (made the game boring as hell) and start with Hard Mode. As you can see I die quite a few times, I was expecting a challenge and I am happy with what I found.
Diablo 3 has both local co-op and online co-op which can also be mixed together. After a while my brother jumped in as a guest to do a bit of local co-op. While we were doing this two online players joined us so there was some sections of the video where we were doing 4 player co-op.
All in all I am very happy with the console version. The transition was excellent and the lack of the Auction House really improves the game for me. The added challenge will also keep me returning many times. I can easily see myself completeting this version!


Diablo III is an action role-playing video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. It is the third installment in the Diablo franchise and was released in the Americas, Europe, South Korea, and Taiwan on May 15, 2012, and Russia on June 7, 2012 for Microsoft Windows and OS X. It is scheduled to be released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 3, 2013. A PlayStation 4 version is planned, to be released in 2014.

In the game, players choose one of five character classes; the Witch Doctor, Barbarian, Wizard, Monk or Demon Hunter and are tasked with defeating the titular Diablo.

Diablo III set a new record for fastest-selling PC game by selling over 3.5 million copies in the first 24 hours of its release, and was the best selling PC game of 2012, selling more than 12 million copies during the year. It received generally positive reviews from critics, although its digital rights management that requires an internet connection at all times was criticized.

As a sequel to Diablo II, new features included an online auction house, which allows players to trade virtual items with in-game gold or real life money, and artisans that can craft materials gathered by the player to create new items. The auction house functionality has proven controversial, with Blizzard expressing concern over its impact on the overall game experience.
