Here are my Blizzcon 2016 Diablo predictions... In this video I talk about Diablo IV, Diablo 3 new expansion and Diablo II HD remake.

We may be introduced to a new game director....but most likely not. If a new Diablo game is announced one could assume the work has already finished before the new Diablo III game director joined.

The big 3 questions are:
Diablo 4
New Diablo 3 expansion
or Diablo II HD remake

All of these are possible but I believe 1 game stands out the most. I think a Diablo 3 expansion will be announced along with 2 new classes. I have a feeling Blizzard know that 1 new class might not be enough... to carry the franchise for another 2 years. As a content creator, I'm supposed to be a little PC around this issue but it's undeniable the community on the Diablo Reddit is an empty shadow of what it use to be, the community of the forums and diablo fans are the same. I'm not commenting on the quality of the community but the quantity.

A new expansion will most likely bring the obvious features:
higher level cap
higher item levels
new items in general
a new act
a new boss / antagonist

The problem I see with a new expansion is....
I believe the expectations for the amount of new Diablo content are larger than what the last expansion delivered.
Before you go crazy, what I'm saying is yes the last expansion was good.. but was the amount of content released in line with what people want right now. Also keep in mind allot of the development was staggered after the release.

Lastly, I don't know if I have an unrealistic expectation that players of a game like Diablo are entitled to constant content like an MMO, what do you think? Diablo 3 is in a weird spot where it's a single player game that has multiplayer.

So let's talk about D4... If a whole new Diablo game gets released that would be Blizzard at its finest, it would knock fans out. There are 2 conflicting factors which are:

#1 Has Blizzard Entertainment had enough time to produce a fourth game?

Let's break down some facts: If the core developers started working on D4 6 months before the expansion released, which makes more sense to me then directly after reaper of souls... this would be close to 3 years of game development.
