Dicey Elementalist - Yahtzee Meets Deckbuilder
27Dicey Elementalist is a dice based roguelite deckbuilder game available on iOS devices. Roll dice to get elements to activate cards from your loadout and defeat the many monsters of the dungeon.
Dicey Elementalist Gameplay uses a Yahtzee style dice roll mechanic along with cards that deal damage or provide buffs and debuffs. As we go through the dungeons and defeat enemies we will unlock new artifacts and cards to enhance our loadout. Every game is different, and once you lose you start over from the beginning. There is some progression between runs to enhance abilities and face harder challenges, and you can unlock new features in the dungeons as you progress as well.
There are 4 characters in the game, 1 unlocked for free, and 1 that can be unlocked with enough gems earned in game. The other 2 characters are available as an in-app purchase for few bucks. Each character has 4 adventure modes, and a couple of difficulties available within those modes, giving you many goals to achieve.
The game provides a tremendous value at a free entry price. As far as in-app purchases go, I find this a much more palatable way of offering a game compared to others on the app store. Ads are 100% optional, you can pay to unlock more of the game if you enjoy it. This is the way I wish every game was done. The gameplay has brought me back for several rounds a night and I've really been enjoying the experience. Dicey Elementalist Review score: 5/5.
