There is another tie in to one of James Cameron’s other films. During the final battle sequence, Colonel Quaritch pushes the control stick of his gunship to swerve into Jake. Jake ends up losing his balance, and he slides down the ship where he grabs onto a missile. This ties in with True Lies where Harry swerves the Harrier jet, and the terrorist loses his balance and slides down the wing of the jet. Also, the terrorist ends up catching himself on the missile thanks to his suspenders.
