In this video I talk about how platforms like Youtube contribute to the creation of low quality shows like Velma. In essence, with so little time available to most people to watch media and the multitude of options available for entertainment, shows need to do something outrageous in order to stand out. Between the work that goes into setting up a HBOMax account vs watching a video on Youtube, the path of least resistance makes the option that much more dire for established entertainment companies.
