97Here is a complete scoring run of the NTSC PS1 release of Die Hard Trilogy: Die Harder, and patched to enable the use of the Guncon with it.

However, there are still some issues with the gun tracking in
Die Hard Trilogy, the screen doesn't flash on every shot, so there is some drifting away, and at times your first bullet will end up going where your previous last shot ended up, which can catch hostages sometimes.
Die Hard Trilogy: Die Harder is a made for console game, but it feels like an arcade game and has an arcade-like difficulty. There is a video showing the making of the game, and it shows them observing Virtua Cop 2, which makes a lot of sense. You could say this game is like a fan-made VC2 clone, but it is still well made.
This game is most likely known for bringing 3D light-gun gaming to the masses and being very violent at the time of release. It came out before the Guncon was released, so you had to play it with any of the controllers, and with no calibration screen to adjust your sight. Hearing about the patch regained my interest and got me to make this video.
Like my old video, I try my hardest to a high score without milking, and there are a few ways to increase the score more than normal.
One method is getting the Bonus routes, which you get by meeting certain requirements, not shooting a hostage or shooting all the enemies in the section.
The other method is to damage an enemy so much, that it awards 63,500 extra points, the easiest way to do this is to use rockets or the explosive shot-gun. A technique I use is to hold the trigger, press the button for the rocket to come out, release the trigger, and press the button for a grenade. Timing these can make both land on the same enemies and get a much higher chance of racking up the score. I'm not sure if this scoring method was intended in the game, but it makes it far more interesting for me, as I expect I would get similar scores on every playthrough without it. Using these tricks can make you score over 2 million for the first stage, and a score of 1 million wouldn't be possible without doing it.
Differences between the PAL and NTSC versions are mainly the speed. Both versions suffer from slowdown, but it is the PAL version that suffers more, with the game crawling to a halt at points. This makes the PAL version more difficult at these times, but the NTSC version is considerably faster most of the time, making it harder to shoot some objects accurately. My old video is from the PAL version, and the slowdown can be compared with this video.
