Shoutout to TrekHeck who told me about a clip of a streamer who accidentally got this menu glitch on stream and shared his save file where he replicated the events. Expand this description for some specific suggestions on what to use these tricks for:

1) Gain ABI fast by using evolutions of other Digimon repeatedly. Because the source Digimon does not actually do an evolution, you can apply it's available evolutions to other Digimon infinitely and get the ABI increase that goes along with evolving multiple times.

2) Train up a Hagurumon, Keramon or Hackmon. Use the evolution glitch to create an army of PlatinumSukamon and load them for experience. If you're further into the game, you can train up a GoldNumemon, Etemon, SuperStarmon or BlackKingNumemon instead and use the glitch to get an army of PlatinumNumemon to load them for even more experience without grinding.

3) Train up one Digimon ready to evolve and evolve other Digimon for free copies. If your source Digimon has multiple good evolutions, you can use this glitch to get all of those at once, making it even more efficient. For example, raising a MetalGreymon (Blue) and using two other Digimon to transform would yield you WarGreymon, BlackWargreymon and Cherubimon (Evil).

4) Remember those NX style Digimon you get from the DLC? They learn some good moves, but their stats suck, they take ages to level up and they cannot evolve so you're stuck with them. Use the glitch on them to evolve them into regular Digimon. They come with 200 ABI right from the start. You'll gain regular Digimon with their full stat and evolution potential unlocked.

5) Train up some Digimon that learn good techniques early and use the technique the glitch to pass on these techniques to your main team members. That way, you don't need to devolve and evolve your team members to get your desired techniques. Some examples are Devimon for Physical Drain, PlatinumSukamon for Character Reversal and Tyrannomon for Accel Boost.
