Since we can't proceed further into the Overdell right now, we move on to the Great Canyon.
Monochromon can be found in Monochrome Shop, which is in Grand Canyon Top Area in Great Canyon. Talk to him, and he will mention of having some trouble with his shop, and even asks you to help him out. Helping Monochromon will consume a amount of time (Eight Hours ingame according to Monochromon himself), so make sure you have the time to help him out before accepting.
Digimon will come in asking for some items. Your job is to sell the items as reasonable as possible, while making the highest profit you can from them.
The items sold are as followed:
-Meat sells at a regular price of 50 Bits. The best price to sell Meat is at 55 Bits to 60 Bits.
-Portable Potty sells at a regular price of 300 Bits. The best price to sell Portable Potty is at 360 Bits to 390 Bits.
-Medicine sells at a regular price of 1000 Bits. The best price to sell Medicine is at 1300 Bits to 1400 Bits.
The Digimon that visits are as followed:
-Gotsumon are the best customers and most polite, and are the most likely to accept higher prices for items.
-Goburimon are decent customers. As long as you give them a reasonable enough price, they're okay.
-Weedmon are the worst customers and least polite. They usually do not like paying higher prices for items.
-Muchomon are the overall unpredictable customers. They are sometimes willing to pay really high prices, while sometimes they just walk out on a reasonable one.
Even if you have all this information on the Digimon and what prices you should likely try, the Digimon will still vary on what they will do when prices are offered to them. If they ask to have the price lowered, you can try the same price again to see if they will end up accepting it, but sometimes that will end up in making them walk out.
The biggest thing about this: You will need luck to gain enough profit in order to obtain enough profit to recruit Monochromon, as to do that, you will need the Digimon to ask for the more expensive items more often than the least expensive items. To add to this, the Digimon could behave in a manner that could net you the least amount of profit.
When you have obtained a profit of 3000 Bits or more, Monochromon will join the city.
Monochromon will open up a item stand, so you can now buy items when you need them. When the item shop first opens up, it will not have a lot to offer, but will expand as you recruit Digimon that are willing to work at the item shop. If Monochromon is not the first Digimon you recruit that is willing to work at the item shop, he will simply help expand it instead (Though, I'm not sure if Monochromon opens up a item stand at all. He may be the one to just expand it to an item shop, but I haven't tested to be sure of this).
