DIRTY WATER!! - DELORES: A THIMBLEWEED PARK MINI ADVENTURE (BLIND) #5
Welcome back to part 5 of my blind let's play series of Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure; a brand new spin off of Thimbleweed Park released during lockdown! Delores has returned home to Thimbleweed Park from her job as a game designer for Mmucas Flem and takes a part time job working as a photographer for the Nickel News! We get given a list of photos we need to take across Thimbleweed Park, but each of them is in the form of a puzzle to solve! There's 30 photos in total, each in a set of 5!
In this episode, we start things off with a brand new photo about a local celebrity! We try taking a photo of the Ransome The Clown Candy Dispenser but that doesn't work as it doesn't look enough like him! We go to the poster in the alleyway and use the Screwdriver to take down the Thimblecon '88 Poster and then take a photo of the Ransome Photo! Then we start our next set of assignments. We turn the gas on in the alleyway to cause the Fireballs in the kitchen of the diner again and take a photo of Dave for the dangerous job story! Then we get the Free Glass and use it to fill up with water from the Leaky Fire Hydrant for the dirty water story! Next, we go into the Sheriff-a-reno's office and take a photo of his desk phone for the history of the phone story, before taking a photo of the specks of dust for the story about allergies!
In this video we solve the following puzzles:
- Headshot for a story on a celebrity
- Photo of a person doing a dangerous job
- Our bad Thimbleweed drinking water quality
- A hit-piece on the history of the phone
- Story about allergies

The year is 1988. Adventure game developer Delores Edmund, on hiatus from her job at MMucasFlem Games, has returned to Thimbleweed Park for a quick vacation. While she’s home, she’s making some extra money as a photographer for the Thimbleweed Nickel News. Hey, game developers need to eat, too!
Thimbleweed Park hasn’t changed at all in the year since Delores has been away… or has it?
…Since when is the S&D Diner a five-star establishment?
…When did the PillowBear™ become all the rage?
…Why is Ransome the Clown suddenly winning humanitarian awards?
…How come no one seems to remember that dead body that turned up under the bridge a year ago?
…Can Thimbleweed Park get any stranger?!.
In a town like Thimbleweed Park, a side career in photojournalism is the least of your problems...
Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure started out as a prototype for Ron Gilbert’s new point-and-click adventure game engine and grew into a fun little game. It is not a sequel to Thimbleweed Park and is probably missing all of the small bells and whistles that would make it a commercially viable game.
TurianShepard is my YouTube gaming channel. I play lots of different games from old classics, to new releases. I'm a huge fan of point and click adventures games and FIFA. If there's anything you'd like to see me play, drop me a comment and I'll see what I can do!
