You can significantly improve both by turning these features off. Here's how: Go to Settings, tap on Connections, then More Connection Settings. Disable 'Nearby Device Scanning' to stop continuous scanning, even with Bluetooth off. Also, swipe down from the top and turn off Bluetooth if you're not using it.
