During the mid to late 90s there was a very interesting format war - discs or cartridges. The Nintendo 64 used cartridges, while the PlayStation 1, Sega Saturn, PC and... basically everything else non-portable used first CDs, and then DVDs. It was a pretty contentious discussion point back then, which is why I decided to go through what the differences were. It's a bit one-sided though, as history would prove.
