Smaller and newer YouTube creators are supposedly being mentally hurt by dislikes on their videos. But I think from a different perspective, dislikes are a GOOD sign for your channel, let me explain why using this video.

My streams are for my regulars, and my videos are for new viewers.

I assume the "1 to 100" rule, where 1 dislike roughly equals 100 brand new viewers that have never heard of me before.

Therefore, a video I upload that gets zero dislikes probably reached less than 100 new viewers. A video with 2 dislikes reached around 200 new viewers. My most disliked video has 24 dislikes so it reached 2,400 new viewers!
