Basically the complete upper half of the wastelands is unused in Divine Divinity, there are a few monsters and mapped stuff in it.

*Note*
I hex edited the game to make the map walkable, normally it's not possible to walk in this area.
Also some parts of the area were already "explored" on my minimap because I used a glitch with a certiain spell to view the area permanently.
